Cigar Curator is a private humidor inventory and tasting journal for adult collectors.

Protect your collection

Before replacing a device or removing the app, open Settings and export a Collection Backup. Backups include records, photos, receipts, purchase batches, inventory history, and journals. Keep the exported file somewhere you trust. Restoring a backup replaces the collection after confirmation.

Recover a deleted record

Open Settings, then Recently Deleted. Eligible inventory changes can also be undone from Inventory History. Recovery depends on the records and history still saved in the app.

Photo identification

Add from Picture offers an optional handoff to your separate ChatGPT app or website. Review the prompt and photo before sending. Paste the structured result back into Cigar Curator and confirm the details before saving.

Report a problem

In Settings, choose Send Feedback to prepare a report with your app version and device details. Review it before sharing. Do not include private photos, receipts, or a collection backup unless you intend to share them.

Information stored by the app

Cigar Curator stores the information you enter to provide personal inventory, journal, backup, and humidor-management features. This can include cigar records, photos, tasting notes, ratings, condition readings, humidor names, purchase quantities, prices, currencies, seller names, acquisition dates, receipts, inventory history, deleted records, and app preferences.

These records are saved on your device. Cigar Curator does not operate a developer-hosted collection database, advertising service, or cross-app tracking system.

Photos, ChatGPT, and external sources

The app uses photos you select or capture and can recognize text on the device. An optional ChatGPT handoff prepares selected content for you to send through your own ChatGPT app or browser session. Cigar Curator does not embed an OpenAI API credential. Content you send to ChatGPT is handled under that service's terms, privacy policy, and account settings.

Opening a source link or loading a remote product image contacts that website. The website receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. Its own privacy policy applies. Identification, generated flavor descriptions, and estimated prices can be inaccurate.

Backups, deletion, and iCloud

You control exported backups and CSV files and decide where to store or share them. Full backups can contain photos, receipts, purchase details, journals, inventory history, and recently deleted records. App data may also be included in device backups managed by Apple.

Version 1.3 does not enable the new collection-and-photo iCloud sync service. If a later build offers it, it will be optional and use your private Apple iCloud account. Apple's own terms and privacy settings apply to Apple services.

Deleting a record moves it to Recently Deleted when supported. Permanent deletion in the app does not erase copies you previously exported, shared, or backed up elsewhere. Removing the app deletes its local data; device backups and exported files must be managed separately.

Reminders and diagnostics

Optional humidor reminders use local device notifications and require your permission. Reliability diagnostics stay on the device unless you choose to export and share them. Feedback may include the app version, device and operating-system details, humidor name, record counts, and text you enter. Review feedback and diagnostic files before sharing.

Adult use and tobacco sales

Cigar Curator is intended for adults. It does not sell tobacco, process tobacco purchases, or operate a marketplace.

This support website

This site does not request collection uploads or provide a sign-in form. Its hosting provider may process connection information to deliver and protect the site. Links to the App Store and other services are governed by those services' own policies.
